(Updated August 31, 2021)

As we went to press for our 18th season, no one could say what was in store for us in the new year. We had hoped things would be back to normal in the world sooner rather than later, but that turned out to not be the case.

August 31, 2021 Update: As was necessary earlier with the Yorkshire and Ireland trips, we have had to cancel our trip to Australia scheduled for later this year due to the continuing restrictions placed on entering the country by the Australian government.

Our intention at this time is to reschedule all three of the trips we had planned for 2021 into the comparable calendar periods in 2022. We are anticipating the trip dates will be as follows:

Yorkshire (U.K.): May 4 to May 13 or 14, 2022.

Ireland: September 8 to September 16, 2022.

Australia: October 19 to November 2, 2022.

These dates are subject to minor change until the racing fixture lists are finalized for each country. The itinerary details will track closely with the programs we had planned for this year, again assuming no significant changes to the racing dates.

Note that the trip lengths as described include the latest departure date from the U.S. and the earliest return date to the U.S. For European trips, one of the nights will be spent en route overseas. In the case of Australia it will be two nights. As always the trips are designed for easy extension, either before or after the scheduled dates, for those who wish a longer stay abroad.

We expect to have the full itinerary details posted to the website by the end of October.

Please call or mail us, and continue to check the website, for any further updates as they occur. We appreciate your patience as we move through this difficult period together. Hopefully, before too much more time passes, we'll be back on the Racing Road.

If you have questions or would like to be listed to go on a trip, please e-mail us at info@racing-europe.com or call us toll-free at (800) 261-0499.

We look forward to hearing from you and to going racing with you in 2022.

YORKSHIRE
MAY 5 to MAY 13 or 14, 2021
9 or 10 days, 8 or 9 nights (including one en route)

Racing at YorkWe've rescheduled the fine program we were forced to cancel in 2020. Yorkshire offers us a completely new menu of racecourses -- steeped in tradition, abundant in atmosphere, and full of high quality racing. We'll lodge in the historic city of York and have plenty of time to explore its many attractions. Racing will feature important preps for the English Derby and Oaks, and we'll visit the yards of one of England's major trainers in the unique environs of Middleham. Several non-racing activities outside of York, including dinner in a private home, will also be part of our week. Please note the early Closing Date.

7 or 8 nights in York
4 or 5 days/evenings of racing at York, Thirsk, Catterick, and Beverley
Excursions in Yorkshire including Castle Howard, Whitby, and the North York Moors
Training visit in Middleham

Close Home at LeopardstownIrish Champions Weekend, which includes ten Group races (six at the Group 1 level), has in its brief existence become one of the major events of the year in Europe. Its timing on the calendar allows us to also go racing at two other atmospheric Irish courses. Included will be morning training on The Curragh, a visit to one of the most successful farms in the world, and an experience of some of Ireland's most beautiful scenery.

7 nights in County Kildare, near The Curragh

AUSTRALIA
OCTOBER 20 to NOVEMBER 3, 2021
15 Days, 14 Nights (including two en route)

The one-of-a-kind Melbourne Cup is among the world's great racing spectacles, and it highlights our Australia trip. We're invited to participate in some of the traditional private festivities that lead up to the big race. In addition to Cup Day we'll have another major racing day at Flemington in Melbourne and get in a day at Royal Randwick, Sydney's premier course. In the Hunter Valley we'll visit horse farms and sample wine, and we'll do that out of Melbourne as well. The trip will have a good bit of sightseeing in Australia's two leading cities, including a special experience out on Sydney's spectacular harbour. We'll have you back in the U.S. in good order for the Breeders' Cup at Del Mar.

4 nights in Sydney, 2 nights in the Hunter Valley, 6 nights in Melbourne
3/4 days/eves of racing at Royal Randwick, Moonee Valley, and Flemington
